please can someone help me solve this problem ( i attached the picture)

Question:- Use source transformation to determine the current and power in the 8-Ω resistor.

double click the attached diagram ( mistake on the diagram instead of using 20 V please use 15V) .....thanks

I suggest that you convert the 3A source and 10 Ohm resistor into the Thevenin equivalent.

Then find the Thevenin equivalent of the 15 Volt, 3 Ohm and 6 Ohm section.

The problem then becomes a simple series circuit.

hello guy
the first step if you want to find
the current which cross the 8 ohm resistanse
you've to convert the current source with 10 ohm resistanse
to the voltge source
then as we kenw Is = 3 A of the voltage source
also 3 A
also the resistanses 10 ohm and 8 ohm in series
means they have the same currnet
then we've now I which equal to 3 A
and R which equal to 8 ohm
now we can get the power from this law
P = I^2 * R
P= 9 * 8 = 72 W

with best wishes
