Hi All,

Please check whether the below solution is correct or not?

Question:

A buck converter is fed from a 12-V DC source. It supplies a regulated 6V to a connected 5 Ohm load. The inductor current is continuous. Determine the duty cycle and the output power.

Solution:

Duty Cycle = 6/12 x 100% = 50%

Output Power = 36/5 W

Please advice whether there is other method more appropriate to solve this,

Thanks & Best Regards,
Micheal

That's correct for an ideal converter.
