L ljcox Well-Known Member Apr 19, 2004 #4 The 555 can be used in the Bistable mode if you need a set/reset bistable. But I would not bother, I would use either a S/R circuit composed of gates (NAND or NOR) or a Flip Flop such as the 4027. Len
