Biometric attendance

hello!im planning to make a biometric attendance using the persons fingerprint..could this be possible?am i on the right track?i have no idea on where to begin with..please help...what shall i do first? so sad my brain isnt working anymore..can u suggest any website the is related or could help me with this project?

Yup...just stroll down to the nearest Circuit City and buy one.Last time I was there I noticed that they had 1 or 2 manufacturers of fingerprint sensors...and fairly inexpensive.
