I was wondering if I duplicate a barcode would the scanning machine notice a difference ? I am guessing no...

Yes, it's been done before - there was something on the news a few months back about a couple who did it, and bought Ipods on the cheap.

They are now in jail, it seems.

It's geeky, but it's still theft.
