amplifier section for gas sensor

Hiii,

I have to design circuit for gas detection of toxic as well as explosive gases.

I am using the sensor mentioned in above link for the detection of explosive gas.

Can I use instrumentation amplifier to amplify the senor output signal?

I have to provide potentiometers for Zero and span setting.

Please advice how to do it.

My brain is scrambled after a busy day at work and cannot be bothered to go into detail.

To set you on your way, that kind of detector is known as a pellistor.
You will need two resistors to complete a bridge circuit which you can then connect to your instrument amplifier.

If you are going to detect explosive gases the detector enclosure is also critical

Signal conditioning help!!!!

Hi,

I have to design gas detector circuit for explosive gases.

As per mentioned in datasheet, the sensor output is 27 ± 5 mV / % methane.

I need some advice regarding amplification of this signal.

There is a requirement of potentiometer for zero adjustment.

Please suggest.

What part, and link for data sheet please.
You can use an op amp with amp the signal to what you require it to be at
