A1012L transistor

I am looking for a replacement for this . Hopefully something I can get at Jaycar. They don´t seem to have ths one so what would I use instead- its used as a power switch I think TO220 case

Just use TIP42

Japanese transistors frequently omit the 2s prefix on the part, so it may be a 2sa1012L

All I could find in my box was 2 off D45H2A which seems to be a power transistor so Iĺl give one a try first- yep this worked and I ran it for a few hours and it was pulling about 400mA.

DC current gain is given as 70 to 240 Ic=1A (the fuse is 1 A)
