7815/7915 PS Problem

But you sorted it, and the outcome wasnt the worst, you could have put them in backwards or something and fried everything on the board.
 
Exactly. Since those shorts occurred there, my components that required those voltages should theoretically be okay, right?
 
Yes most likely, unless some parts got upset powered from a single rail instead of dual, but thats unlikely.
