16 bits LCD converter

I would like to know if there is a component that converts 16 bits (paralel) to LCD display directly. I know that a microprocessor it is possible, however I am looking for a IC that has the menioned function.

I wouldn't have thought so, as it would be a pretty useless device - using a microcontroller you make it do exactly what you want - and could easily be a single IC solution.
