RF Pic in Noise environments?

How well do the RF Pics do in noisy environments?
I would like to make a transmitter that will trigger a RC servo to control the engine speed on baler from the tractor cab without wires.

I looked at RFPics, I thought they looked very complicated to use, so never bothered :)

As tractors use diesel engines I don't see why they would be a noisy environment?, I don't see any problems.
 
I was thinking the samething.

I found a site that has a transmitter and reciever setup all ready made and you just hook a regular Pic to it.
