Hi,

I have just joined. Do not know, if this is a right forum for my Question.
I use DELL LATITUDE 3540 Laptop.
Problem is, when I connect any LCD Projector to video port, it says "Frequency exceeds" and nothing is displayed on LCD Projector screen.
If I use my Lenovo with same setting it works. Is there any tool, by which I can check my VGA port of laptop myself ?

If resolution is matched then refresh rate is too high ( e.g. >60 Hz )

As long as both have HDMI there should be no problem, if not then you will need to set the resolution/refresh of the Dell to suit the projector - bearing in mind there 'may' be different settings for the screen and external output.

I was assuming VGA connector.

pixel freq. = number of pixels on screen resolution x frame rate.
