    Mr.K when I get some time I'll post the whole code and you can work with it.The code i have for the dimmer part is in C It was for 1 button and a 12c508 I changed it to the 16f628a so I'm now working changing it to assembly.

    Ok I have already ordered my 3x4 keypad I hope there isn't a specific type of 3x4 keypad need to get this thing to work

    No not at all, I have no idea about programming chips which why im here

    That looks like a good one I take mine out of old phones. If I hadn't sold my last 16f628 I would try out the dimmer part

    This didn't work but now i know how to flash a AC light bulb [embed]http://www.youtube.com/v/gebVAw49TPs&hl=en&fs=1[/embed] I need to get the timing right.
    It's AC I just stepped it down to 13 volts.

    I still need to and key pad. I'm just using a counter to go from lit to off.

    ahh I see...what are you using to hook the light bulb to the circuit I might need to purchase that as well
