I have a transceiver that will not transmit. I use to work as an electronic tech 1980 to 1985 and repair electronic equipment and circuit board but now days the only test equipment I have at home is a volt ohm meter. I need to fix this thing it is solid state I will probably have to unsolder the parts to test them. It sure would be nice if someone here was familiar with the RCI-2990 and know exactly what the problem is. It could be several things. If someone keyed the mic with no antenna then the output transistors are probably cooked. I got this unit used it was bad when I got it.
