Wiring 3.5 mm stereo headphone mountable jack socket

I am held up in wiring 3.5 mm stereo headphone mountable jack socket to a radio.. which i purchased recently.. which doesn't have headphone socket....what i want to do is... cut off the sound from the loud speaker as soon as i connect my headphones....https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/products/0106874/

That jack is monophonic, not stereophonic. You need something like this for stereo.

that is sold under MX brand, stereo jack, in India.
they have two types \
one for pocket stereos and other again pcb mountable with a screw nut in the front.
