Wire for AA batteries

Im going to relocate the batteries in the xbox controller to where the rumble motors used to be. So I need some wire to connect the batteries to the circuit board. How thick wire should I use?

Just re-use the wire you have.

It would be a small current, so common 22AWG insulated hookup wire (stranded or solid wire) (example) should be adequate.

If you removed the rumble motors, then 26 gauge is likely ok. It can handle 2.2-amps for chassis wiring.
