Will this oscolator circut work?

Will this Oscillator circut work? My Xtal has only 2 pins, that has 3. Does that make a difference? How critical are the values of the passive components?

The crystal device in that circuit diagram is a monolithic crystal filter. It isn't the same as a crystal.

The simplest and the best for most applications is a pierce oscillator.

Thanks, I am trying to make a TTL clock will the schematic in the PDF you referenced work with a 74LS04? And if so, what values would I want for the caps if my Crystal is 6.5MHz? I'd just like to have a gate, my crystal, and a few passives in my circuit.

It might. You can always try it and see. The cap values are given in the referenced material.

So, will the 2MHz listing in the chart stretch for 6.5?

Nope. Find a crystal that will resonate at your frequency of interest. You'll have to invest the time to look over data sheets. Tough job, I know, but someone has to do it.
