Why lock valid posts.

I tried to post to the "why remove etc." thread and thought I had a valid point. Result, thread locked!!!. Why can't a discussion be allowed to carry on.

I read the thread and didn't see anything that was objectionable. Why was it locked?

Quite simple, as already explained - the thread was becoming offensive, so it was deleted - unfortunately, I messed up, and also deleted my post explaining this

So I did the same with the follow up thread, but didn't mess up this time.

If a thread becomes offensive I'm not going to sort through all the posts editing or deleting the particular offensive bits - the entire thread will usually be deleted.

If you consider this 'censorship' (and deliberately chosing a heavily loaded word), then so be it - no one ever claimed it was a fair world!.

OK, this was getting offensive to people again, this thread is now locked, and any further attempts to either start more offensive threads will result in a ban!
