I have a doubt regarding BJT. what happens if both emitter-base & base-collector junctions are forward biased with 0.7V ? will BJT be in saturation region? What will be the voltage across the collector and emitter and [LATEX]I_C[/LATEX] ?
Sounds like a trick question asked as a homework problem. Draw the transistor, put the two .7V drops in radiating outward from the common point at the base and then ask yourself what the resulting voltage across collector and emitter could possibly be according to Thevenin's law.

The datasheets for most small transistors show the maximum collector to emitter voltage loss when the transistor is saturated with a base current that is 1/10th the collector current, even when the minimum current gain is much higher at 100.
The saturated collector voltage is very low so of course the base-collector junction is also forward biased.
