voltage controlled switch

okay, this should be really simple but i cannot seem to find an easy cheap solution. basically i have a microphone signal as one input, an output of a comparator as another input and a reset switch.

in normal conditions the microphone signal should just go directly to the output, if the voltage from the comparator goes high, i want the output to be grounded. and then once a reset switch is pressed the microphone signal can again pass.

any ideas?

thanks in advance.

What supply voltage do you have available?

Sounds like you'll want an S/R latch followed by a relay (driven by a transistor). Though grouding the singal directly might not be too good.
