VFD Tube Clock

I just got two IV-21 VFD for 10 bucks and wanting to put together a clock. I was looking on here and found a schematic

This looks like it will work with mine but I cant find the A6812SA IC. Is there any other schematics or can someone tell me where I can find the IC at?

would the max6920 work instead? its only 6 bucks while the other is 28 lol. The data sheets are the same, just wanting to make sure.

The max6920 has a much lower output sink capability. I would guess that the circuit multiplexes each digit, so the digit outputs, 9 - 17, will have to take the full current of 7 segments.

However, I have no idea how much current the VFDs use, so the sink current of 4 mA might well be enough.

Also, you can never be sure that the devices will work exactly the same, and there may be timing differences.
