Very simple circuit help

I have built this on a breadboard and it works!
a metronome can you believe that!

anyway i figured i would punch it in the Circuit Sim and watch how it works. Well it doesnt make sense to me at all because no current ever passes the capacitor it just stays there. Is this program correct? BTW the 8ohm is a speaker.

That simulator is not very good, it's probably not simulating your circuit properly.

probably? Well what is a good sim that shows the current like this one?
'

There is current through the capacitor once the switch is closed, after 5T it has completely discharged so it looks like there is no current.

But agree that's a weird simulator.

Use MultiSIM by National Instruments (download trial version)
Build your circuit on there using virtual parts and hook up a ammeter and oscilloscope between the test points on the capacitor.
