Using LM35 to measure temperature -40 to 0 degrees celcuis

Dear Friends,

I need help in this.. I want to make LM35 to work between my required range of -40 degrees to 0 degrees Celsius. I have another device which takes Analog input from 0 to 15volts. i want the LM35 IC to give me the voltage of 0 to 15volts with required temperature range (-40 to 0). Is is possible ?

Use an op amp to amplify the LM35 to get the voltage range you desire.

Yes, it is possible. Look at National's data sheet. It has extensive applications shown for the device, so it would just be a matter calibration for the range required. You can view the data sheet here:
