Hi everyone,

Lately I've been searching for a way to interface the USB to parallel cable for data acquisition, but I've got no clue where to start and with what.Could anyone give me some basics?greatly appreciated.

The FT245R is a USB to parallel IC.

I would suggest you look at the UBW - which is far better for what you want, being designed specifically for it.

Very little really, check the UBW website for the circuit - I easily built one based on my 16F876 tutorial board, it was simple to modify the existing veroboard layout.
