UPS Sine Wave Signal Generator

Does anyone know how to produce a sinusoidal signal to drive MOSFET, such as those in uninterruptible power supplies? Pls. give me some of its specs, links.

There are several methods to generate sine waves. Some of them are
Colpitts oscillator
Hartley oscillator
Microcontroller Sin look-up table method
Microcontroller Stepped PWM method

and there's the phase shift oscillator, Wien bridge..



You could even use an 8083, a dedicated waveform generator chip,but an expensive way of doing 8)
