Ultrasonic Range Finder

I have the SRF05 - Low Cost Ultrasonic Range Finder
from robot-electronics.co.uk.

one of the pin of this component is high proportional to range (close range is short time of high,100us to 25ms).

Does someone knows how to use a led that will represent the proportional distanse.
The led need to flash faster when the range is short.

It's designed to hook up to a microcontroller, simple task for most any microcontroller.
