trying to figure out what LCD this is..

I have an old lcd, i think it's numeric, about 12 characters long..
on the pcb i see this code:
LCD1611M10T

there are 8 connection pins, in order:
CLK
DI (or is it D1? looks like an 'I' though..)
VSS
HK
S1
RST
S2
VDD


If you don't know what part this is.. maybe you have some suggestions on how to use it?
There must be a way to select the character to change (S1 and S2 maybe, but they're not enough), and select what to display (D1)... what could be HK be? And the ground is VSS? there is no GND pin...

any idea? Thanks!!
