Triac no getting fully on (design attached)

If you are pulsing the triac for speed control, but I doubt it, motors require special considerations.

I have decided to go for opto isolator. the triac i am using needs at least 50 to 100mA to get fully on, which my PS cannot provide

What suffix part are you using?

I have BTA16 600BW the normal and cheap type.
