Transmission gate

Hi people,
Transmission gate is used to pass logic levels without degradation. Sometimes it is suggested not to connect TGs in series. Any reason for that?
 
Transmission gates will degrade the signal somewhat depending upon the transmission gate's on resistance and the load. Adding gates in series will obviously increase this resistance and further degrade the signal.
