Transformer woes...

Hi,

Hope someone can help - I've got to calculate the readings given off the instruments (voltmeter, ammeter and wattmeter) for a transformer when it's subject to an open circuit test and a short circuit test (open circuit test performed on the low volatge side, the short circuit test on the high voltage side). The details of the transformer below:

400 / 40 v
2 kVA
50 Hz

Core loss resistance 2 kΩ
Magentising reactance 3 kΩ

High voltage winding:
Winding resistance 2Ω
Inductive reactance 3Ω

Low voltage winding:
Winding resistance 0.025Ω
Inductive reactance 0.025Ω


Am stuck as what equations to use to do these calaculations, so any help will be greatly appreciated!!

The 2 KVA specification will give you the allowed amps for the primary and secondary side ... 2 KVA/400 and 2 KVA/40, respectively.
