Hi All

I'm wanting to build a circuit to control several outputs in a sequence.

So I'm wanting to use a 555 to drive a 4017, but the problem is that I want the 4017 to shift every 5-15 minutes (adjustable)

I can't seem to get the ratios of the resisters and cap right to only give me a high pulse of say 1 sec and low for the rest. How do can I make it only give a short high pulse, or doesn't it matter driving the 4017?

Thanks In advance

The 4017 clocks on positive edges.

And no, it doesn't matter.
