Here I have a machine for testing quartz watches. It's 18 years old and the manufacturer no longer services it.
As you can see I get a consumption reading even though there is nothing connected it goes up as the voltage is turned up as would be expected. It does this in both ranges. and intermittently shows resistance when it should be an open circuit in the resistance mode.
What are my chances of tracking down the source of this problem, or as I expect am way over my head. alternatively, are there independant shops that could repair something like this? As I said the company will no longer service this machine. But I like it so much better than the new ones that try to come up with settings automatically. I much prefer to choose my own.
Thanks for any suggestions.
