Temparature sensor interfacing with 16f877

Hi,
I interfaced temperature sensor with 16f877 and try to display the temperature value in an lcd....i have written the code for it...but lcd displays ng as a result..i think that the binary value which is stored in the register needs to be converted to ascii value to be displayed in the lcd...how to convert it from binary to ascii value using c language..
