I recently found that my sub, the Infinity Entra Sub 2, was not turning on, so I cracked it open. I found that a Surface Mount Capacitor and another standard Capacitor were blown, and they died a fiery death before blowing the fuse. I bought a 6.8uf Cap already, but I could not find a Capacitor to replace the SM. I don't think that fixing the caps will solve the issue that caused the fuse to blow, however, because I have always been able to smell that burnt electronic smell when I had the sub bumping. See the attached picture which shows the blown surface mount and damaged board. It actually appears that the board is most damaged at one of the leads to the inductor L3. It may not be a complete circuit even. I just replaced the fuse to see what would happen, and it blew instantly. Can I fix the board, or is it toast?
