Hello All,

Is there an electronic component which can be used to break a continuous signal or a pulse signal into two continuous signals with a gap in the middle.

For example, I have an alarm unit which when triggered sends a pulse signal into a speaker for around 15 to 20 seconds, then is there some e.g. storage component which can be charged up from the pulse signal up to a point e.g. 6 seconds and then once charged it discharges a continuous signal into the speaker for e.g. 3 seconds then there is a gap for e.g. 6 seconds while it charges again and then it discharges a continuous signal into the speaker again for e.g. 3 seconds.

Thanks.

I don't think you'll find a simple component doing that.
You should use a microcontroller, if you want this kind of complex behaviour
