whats the importance of holding torque in stepper motors? is the torque of 5Ncm good or too bad?

Holding torque is the motor torque when not rotating. It shows how much of a load the motor can hold without turning. Whether 5Ncm is good or bad depends upon the torque of the load you are trying to hold.
