Stepper motor driver

Hi
I would like to learn & experiment with stepper motors. in order to do so, I'm looking for a cicuit diagram for a driver. if you know of a proven circuit and can reffer me to it - it will by highly appreciated. I know that there are ready made drivers and maybe it's more convinient to use them, but my goal is to learn, not just assemble it.

Try googling for 'stepper motor drive schematic' or 'stepper motor drive circuit'. There must be many out there.
