RIP
The great Stephen Hawking has died, really sad loss to science. Having had the privilege to sit in a lecture by him 2 years ago, although not unexpected it is without doubt a very sad day and a great loss.

I hope they show alot of the TV stuff he did. Amazing guy who despite everything is certainly up there with the greats.

His life was (and will remain) a testament to his genius, his humanity and his humility.

His frequent inclusions into skits on "The Big Bang Theory" demonstrated his willingness to poke fun at himself and, in particular, the pompous (and enormously irritating) Sheldon Cooper.

I greatly admired the man and he will, indeed, be sorely missed.

One of our politicians in parliament during speeches today, made and reference to him and called him Dr Hawking!!! HTF can a supposedly intelligent person get something like that wrong!!

ok its UK thing, but in our system of honors academic honors trump honors of the realm. For example a Lord is pretty high up the food chain and Duke is just below King! But if you were a professor and a lord, Officially you use professor and not lord as your title as prof is higher in hierarchy. Dr is below a Knighthood (sir), so its actually an insult to call a prof a Dr. Especially in the house of commons, place is full of idiots!
