I would like to know a list of things that solders adhere to....

Copper
Tin
Gold - Some IC terminals are gold plated as I was told on this forum.
Any thing more ?


I have also heard fo jewellers using solder. Do they use the same lead-tin alloy ? And how to they manage to make gold soldering glitter? polish ?

I have heard of some lead free soldering ? What is that alloy ?

there is also a low temp braze that comes in a paste..

They also make different kinds of solder for differnt metals . . . but dont ask for details, cuz i dont know :lol:
