Solar Voltage problem

Hi All,

So I am trying to make a simple 1 AA NimH battery charger from my solar cell.

The solar cell generates anywhere from 2-3V and 150mA

1) What is the maximum voltage charging tolerance of the 1.2V AA NimH?

2) If they cannot tolerate a potenetial 3 volts going through it, how can I solve the problem of controlling a variable voltage.. Do I use a voltage regulator and if so what size?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Peter

Simply feed the cell (which presumably has a blocking diode in it?, if not use an external diode) direct to the battery - a puny solar cell won't generate enough power to over charge it!.
