G grrr_arrghh New Member Aug 28, 2004 #2 a google of solar cell produced this https://www.howstuffworks.com/solar-cell.htm which may be of some use. also try googling photovoltaic cells. found this guide to building one: https://www.scitoys.com/scitoys/scitoys/echem/echem2.html but I suggest you read the 'A note about power ' at the bottom of the page. Are you building one because you want to, or because you need one? Tim
