hi,

i've scrapped this motor out of a floppy disk drive. it has four wires; yellow, white, red and blue.
i just don't know which wire is which.
anyone know of this?

It sounds like a bi-polar stepper. Use an ohm meter to find the pair of windings. It requires distinct pulses to each coil to make it turn.

3.5" floopy, the one that moves the head? with long worm shaft? .. that is bipolar stepper, google for how to drive bipolar stepper and you will find many resources

i have uln2803 chip. Can i use to control this motor?
