I got 3 hits directly on google..... Amazing!!!!

I tried that too Ian, but if you go into the hits none of them actually pan out. They're all just components with similar names, or fake hits altogether.

It seems, as you have obviously found, that the SK8085 data sheet is very illusive.

After a good look around
the net all I could establish is that Unitrode first made the SK8085. Later Texas Instrument bought Unitrode and continued to market the device but then withdrew it.

These vendors popped up on the searches:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Unitrode-SK8085-DIP-8-IC/dp/B00LX6VM66
**broken link removed**
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=sk8085&LH_ItemCondition=1000&clk_rvr_id=1054502909604&adpos=4o1&treatment_id=7&crlp=111913367368_827&MT_ID=10&device=c&rlsatarget=aud-105106656306:kwd-19520747053&keyword=sk8085&geo_id=32251&poi=&crdt=0&ul_noapp=true

And this schematic seems to be associated with the SK8085

It has been variously mentioned that the SK8085 is a subset of the ON SCY99194 but I'm not sure about that. Anyway here is the ON SCY99194 data sheet:

thank you dear

No problems.

It is a shame the data sheet cannot be found. I suspect the SK8085 is a high volume product, not intended for general use.

Anyway, here are the pin names:
