Simple radio circuit help plz

I need transmitter and reciever circuits which only need to transmit simple on/off signal and to be powerful enough to recieve throughout a house. I have some basic electronics knowledge, but little R/C stuff - plz help + include circuit diagrams.

You will have to add a switch to the receiver output.
