HI,

New to this forum.. I need some help to build a simple flashing light circuit that would go off when there mail in a mail box.
Any help would be appreciated since it is for a project for my daughter's science class.

Thanks,

Steve

Do you have a "flag" that the mailman sets after putting the post in?

How about a simple InfraRed beam?

You have the IR sensor in the bottom of the mailbox, and the IR transmitter at the top. when mail is placed in the box, it covers up the IR sensor, which would cause the light to turn on.
