sending signal to rotate stepper motor from matlab to usb

We are making fingerprint identification based door lock system, doing image processing in matlab. can anybdy suggest me that how can i send the signal to usb port so that i can rotate stepper motor to unlock the door? please tell that how can i connect stepper motor to usb...
