I need to renew the batteries which operate the lift arm of my outside
disabled scooter store - 2x12Volt, 7.2 AH in series (24V) . One of these has failed after 12 years so I will renew both.
Locally, I can get the same size 12V batts but the are 6.0 AH not 7.2 AH.
These will give the 24V I need but will they have enough guts for the lift arm?
The store is only opened once or twice a week and the batts are left on charge 24/7.
What do you think ? Hoping for advice............Thanks.

12 years is quite a good period
means you have, perhaps, well maintained the set.
6AH can perhaps be sufficient, if 7.2 is not available. As it is occasional, you can go for them.
