I'm attempting to build an electric golf trolley for a school project. Its purpose will be to follow the user around the golf course while carrying his/her golf clubs. The user will have a wireless transmitter with an on/off botton that will control the golf trolley. The trolley will have a built in receiver and it will be capable of locating the position of the transmitter so that it can track and follow it. I'm fairly new to electronics so I'm not exactly sure where I should start on this project. Any help, such as circuits or suggestions, would be greatly appreciated.

I think you are in over your head, I have a master's degree in electronics and 50 years experience, and I would hesitate to start that project because it would take too long. If you get some help from a local engineer, and you have 6 to 8 months to work, it could be done.
