Y yongz New Member Mar 22, 2004 #1 Hi all, I'm driving a LED with 140mA with 1Khz @ 10% DC. The current is limited by a 22R resistor. How do I choose the rating of this resistor ? do I average the current ... that is 14mA then I2R the value = 4.3mW or do I use I2R straight ? = 431.2mW Thankz :roll:

Yes, you average the current - just as you average the current for the LED.
