Hi,

I am working on my JVC boombox. While checking diodes I shorted + and - together and blew a fuse. My boombox has four fuses, three are the same 125 Volt 6.3 amp. It has a jack for an electrical cord 110vac, a jack for 12vdc external source and a compartment for eight D cell batteries. I am having trouble finding a 125vac 6.3amp fuse.
Can I replace the burnt out fuse 125vac 6.3amp with a 250vac 6.3amp fuse ?

Yes. That is perfectly OK.
