Google. For the latest and greatest check the sites of the places that make them. They are sure to talk about the latest they have to offer. Use what you learn there to do more web searching. etc etc

it depends who you're giving the presentation to. engineers or technicians?

Technicians dont care who invented it, they just need to know how it works and how to configure it.

Engineers should know history, development, usages, and configuration.

whenever creating a presentation, always create it for the intended student.
